All household supplies can be bought in the town. (5min walk) There are gift & antique shops, an art gallery display's local artists work.     There are supermarkets, resturants, and pubs. The town offers funky cafe's and the fish & chip shop is the best in NZ!   A 7km scenic walk streches from lake Opunake right past your beach house. Visit the historical local Te Namu Pa or Cape Egmount Lighthouse - both are popular attractions Go bush walking at Lucy's Gully or in the Kaitake Ranges in the Egmount National Park Opunake is known for it's hospitality, safe swimming beach and great surf breaks.      After exploring the Taranaki region, grab fish & chips from NZ's best shop or cook a gourmet dinner in the entertainers kitchen dining room. Housekeeping Guests are expected to leave the house as clean as they find it. A complete cleaning service is available for $40.00 per service. Sheets, linen, towels, b asic pantry, toiletries and laundry items are supplied free. We will wash all linen, sheets, and disinfect the kitchen and bathroom after each guest's stay.
